I am studying philosophy so this is so perfect for me and the games are a little plus. Really interactive
Le Petit Robert app is stellar: it is offline, has robust definitions (with examples, showing the root of the word as well as synonyms), has a conjugaison function (effectively a simple Becherelle), and remembers your search history (so you can review words you looked up a week later to see if you still remember them!).
The games arent very advanced, so I only use it for the dictionary function, but I highly recommend.
I find the definitions and examples well done but what really sold me on this app is the "locutions" which puts a word into various set phrases one might encounter.
Some bad moments
I would really like to thank the designers and developers who made this app. Every feature shows that a lot of thought has been put into it, that I wish other apps can learn from. As an intermediate French learner, I especially like the ability to look up new words I see in the definition by just clicking on them, as well as the ability to go back and forth between history entries. The idiomatic usage section is also very comprehensive and greatly appreciated. Oh, and the fuzzy matching that allows me to look up a word that I may have misspelled is tremendously helpful!!!! This has made my learning process much easier and more enjoyable. It is definitely worth every penny of its price. Thanks again!!!!!
